Most investors say I don’t want to start investing now because the market is close to an all time high.

The market is near new highs at year end 75% of the time. This doesn’t keep you from investing at work every 2 weeks.

Everybody was bearish at the beginning of this year. Stars is up 25% year to date. By not being in Stars you already have a lost opportunity cost of about 21% (Stars minus cash). For a buy and hold strategy you need to be in the market all the time. No one can call market direction.

In 25 years what price you pay now matters little. In 25 years I wouldn’t be surprised if you were up 17 times the S&P. That equates to 117 times today’s price. If you look at 3 year average returns, they are about the same whether the market is up or down this next year.

If you bought at the COVID high, you were break even in 18 months. Stars was up 100% above the COVID high 3 years later.

If you look at the greatest investors of all time Stars ranks number 18. The other 17 are no longer available.
